So I broke down and got a new studio setup. I'll save a ton of money when my baby comes along this April.

I used a friend's daughter as a test subject today. I have a little bit more tweaking to do until I'm satisfied completely, but I don't think they turned out too bad for just one softbox and my canon's flash.
Plus, it helps that her daughter was adorable...

I took The Rock Boat IX to Nassau this year and had a blast! I have a ton of concert pictures, too, but I don't think everyone wants pictures of Hanson. lol.

I posted all my beachy keen pictures, though.

Things have changed dramatically in the last year since I updated my Journal.
I went back to full time at my photography job. No more bar.
There won't be any more pictures of Jay. I broke up with his dad.
I don't have a computer anymore, so I'm rarely ever online.
I have a few new photos to put up. I'll have more later on this year... after I've done a couple weddings and stuff.

I've been feeling a touch down, lately. I think I need to hook up with Kim and just do some fun photos instead of trying to be all artsy-fartsy professional. Blah.

I need to do some work on my lighting. Anyone know a good place to get some info or anything? My color scheming needs some updating, too. Bright colors are nice but maybe some themeish stuff? I don't know.

*shrug* Anyway, nothing too new. Just lots of Jay photos that I've decided to neglect from DA 'cause I need a new subject or something. I dunno.

I had the worst time trying to upload my new shots today. Crazy.

Anywho, I've posted some pictures of Kaylee, my boyfriend's OTHER sister, who is wanting to BE a model. She asked me (actually, her mom asked me, but still...) to take some pictures for some website she's trying to sign herself up on. So, we literally threw a make-shift studio together and voila! The lighting sucks 'cause we did it in the garage. The picture with the better lighting was in the bathroom. Two peices of foam board stuck in the corner and a couple of headshots there, and then a couple of white sheets thrown over a partition thingy... and a curtain to lay over the floor. A CURTAIN of all things. It was fun.
She takes AWESOME shots so long as she just stops trying so damn hard. *shakes head* Something I'm sure she'll learn down the road. There was a big difference in the FIRST shots, and the LAST shots.

Bah. It was still fun and I'm pretty proud of what we got for something so... literally thrown together.
